Singapore Adventure
We woke up by 6.30 and got ready by 7.30 had our breakfast. This time the breakfast was eatable. We had a heavy breakfast with some flavored rice,curry, pancakes,yogurt and all. Done with the breakfast we asked the Hotel travel manager about the fastest mode of transportation to UNIVERSAL STUDIO. She said take a taxi and asked If we had Universal Studio Passes. We brought 4 passes from her , To reach universal studio by metro was a daunting task as we had to change metro 3 times then catch a bus . We thought of it time consuming and equally tiring. So we booked a taxi and in 20 minutes he dropped us at the basement parking of the Universal Studio. Two flights of escalator and we are straight into the Universal Studio Gate. Long queue was getting even more longer to get into the theme park. After 30 Minutes we were inside with lot of luggage. We then kept one luggage except 2 cameras in the locker room. 5 SGD wasted as the automated Locked doesn’t return any amount . You have to put exactly same amount as displayed. However, we proceeded and were on a dream parade at Hollywood- Universal Studio. The atmosphere was so festive. Laughing couples, happy children merrymaking with the minions and dummies of various funny Hollywood characters was making the surrounding a different world. It was literally a carnival with people from all the corners of the world being gathered to go back with more happier faces and more beautiful memories. After a 20 minute photography session we straightaway went for our first ride ,the popular one – THE TRANSFORMER.
The long long queue was never finding any end and we were in the queue for more than 2 hours after which we got the chance to have an adventurous journey. For 2 hour from the time we were in the queue, my better half was fearing looking at the warning which discourages anyone having motion sickness. As she has a bit motion sickness, she was afraid like anything. We three were giving assurance of getting a quite good experience after the ride. Finally we 4 sat on the same row and the ride began. I am not describing the experience since Ii have no words to describe. One has to ride to feel it. My words cannot create the gravity to describe our situation but yes we did it . The ride was of 20 minutes. After lot of screaming inside we came out and went to the roller coaster . I was very excited to experience roller coaster ride as I have never seen any roller coaster. My better half without any discussion accept the defeat and we three proceeded. We waited almost 30-40 minutes before we sit on the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA ROLLER COSTER. It was a race against death. This only I can write as I have no other words to explain our situation. But the experience we got was timeless, memorable and will cherish a lot down the memory lane. After completing we straightaway went to Jurassic park ride –a easy one which my better half can take it easily. But due to Mechanical problem inside , it was closed indefinitely. Without wasting any time we went for the lunch at an Indian restaurant near ancient Egypt THE OASIS SPICE CAFE
. We were lucky to get so yummy and delicious food at such a location. The Chicken was really really delicious with so soft flesh which I had not since many days. However after completing our lunch we straightaway went to the WATER WORLD show at 3 PM to witness the stunts and action of a real movie, What an amazing show it was, So much of stunts,action, agility ,acting in one place. Enthralled by the Pyrotechnics and the script. Really amazing experience it was. One cannot believe how they are making this possible. After an hour we went to ancient Egypt to get an experience of the “REVENGE OF MUMMY”. 😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨
It was a roller coaster. We 4 first entered and joined the queue and waited for our turn. The moment my better half saw the display board about the ride is a roller coaster, she immediately left the queue and went outside. We have to wait for 5 minutes and our turn came. It was really amazing ride. A roller coaster inside a tube with stark dark. The experience was simply breathtaking and my words will definitely fall short in describing the experience. It was a 10 minutes ride and we came out and went to the “SHREK-4D Adventure” 4D movie . It was a great show and we all 4 really enjoyed the 30 minute show and went straight away to the “TREASURE HUNTERS” a simple and slow ride on a jeep on a rail track which was not near to any kind of adventure. It can be called a kids ride. The last ride we were supposed to be in Madagascar “”MADAGASCAR- A CRATE ADVENTURE”.It was a boat ride inside a dark and gloomy rives with both sides having funny animals. It was a beautiful ride and the best ride if you have children even we enjoyed a lot . After riding for 20 minutes, we were supposed to pack up and leave Universal Studio by 5.30 as we have to go a long long distance to visit the Singapore Night Safari. AS we decided to reach there by taxi ,we took another merry ride “KINGS JULIEN BEACH PARTY GO ROUND”. A ride for the children but we had become children there in Universal Studio. For some time we felt that we have become child again and we really enjoyed the round. It was 6.15 PM and we left Universal studio to catch a taxi to night safari but the price was exorbitantly high so we decided to go by metro. From sentosa the free bus service dropped us at HARBOUR FRONT MRT. From harbour front the nearest MRT to NIGHT SAFARI was 14 stops away and that too includes changing the line as well. It was already 7 PM we catched a metro and our reporting time was 7.30. We travelled with finger crossed but the Orange Lone MRT or the Circle Line was taking too much time as it is travelling along the periphery of the citu . It was 7.25 we get down at BISHAN MRT and straight away went upstair to catch a taxi. The taxi took 20 minutes to reach even after speeding on the road over 100 kmph. Anyways we reached there at sharp 7.55 and we get the entry. Closing of the gates was 8 PM. Finally we could able to join the long queue and move with the queue for 40 minutes before we could board the toy tram to enter into the Jungle. The tram was having 4 trolleys with a roof and open from either side as well as from the front and back. We slowly moved into the jungle listening to the background audio describing the animals present on either side of the road. In the mid way we halted for 40 minutes to discover the jungle on foot . The NIGHT SAFARI feeling was something new to us and it was amazing. After 1 hour and 30 minutes we came out from the night safari and board the bus which took 40 minutes to drop us at CLARK QUAY the famous hangout point of Singapore. The driver of the bus assured that we could find many Indian Restaurants in CLARK QUAY. The Clark quay was like an open pub an large open party ground with lots of youngsters enjoying the night life and living the night. It was new to us the life of Singapore .
We tried to enjoy the same but our hunger was a restriction, We searched for Indian Restaurant for 1 hour but to no avail. It was 11 PM and we were still out with hungry stomach. Then we decided to go to Little India to have food over there. Yesterday we had a yummy dinner near the FARRER PARK MRT and we decided to go to the same station without taking any risk.We reached at the station and came out on the streeT and saw the restaurant where we had dinner yesterday was closed but to our rescue another restaurant two shops away was open. The restaurant named “SHAFINA CUISINE Veg & Non Veg” was open and it opens 24 hours as written on the board.
We had the set thali like the way we had dinner in KL i.w Rice dal with dal and sambhar with 2 choices of curry. It was very yummy satiating our hungry soul to the bottom. The privilege of having Indian homemade dinner after staying hungry for a long long time completed our day with a good note,It was 12 at midnight and we completed our lunch and were ready to go back to our hotel. By the time the last metro train has already passed and we have no other option but a taxi to hire for dropping us at the hotel. One taxi was hired and in no time we all entered the beautiful Hyundai i40 with the driver Mr Thhhen. Mr Thhen was very jovial person and reiterating the word “Meter ” in his ascent. The girls sitting at the back burst out aloud with a sudden laugh. Mr Thhhen again reiterated the word “Meter ” and the sentence”In Singapore only meter , In India Lumsum.in Indonesia only lumsum no meter,In Singapore only meter”.He keeps on repeating the statement deliberately to make u laugh. It was all laugh from the belly inside the taxi and we reach in no time at the hotel with a very good time with Mr Thhhen. We reached hotel by 12.45 and were too tired and slept once we reached our room.

It was yet another eventful day with the highly Adventurous rides giving us a tough time which we indeed enjoyed it for the first time. It was an unique frightening experience and the Night safari was equally memorable. It was a completely packed day ending with Mr Thhen completely elevating our tiring mood and giving us a big laugh and ending the tour of Singapore with a high Note…
